Buster Davis- step on up

Floyd didn't seem to respond that well to the pressure to step up yesterday IMO. Of course, Gates had a very sub-par game and I'm not about to give up on him.

I'd like to see Buster get on the field ... I think a quicker smaller guy in the slot has some advantages at times. But I don't want to pull Legedu off the field either, I can see how the coaches are torn on personnel.

It's not Naanee vs. Davis, because Naanee can't be spared from the special teams.

The Chargers are really thin on special teams (read, back up linebackers) so as Burnett and Dobbins come back, other positions are going to go the inactive list (Michael Bennett, CJ Spillman).

Barring injury to one of Jackson, Floyd or Naanee, it is going to be very tough for Davis to get on the field this year.

Agreed, unless Floyd drops many more balls or runs more bad routes. that last PR interception looked like an awful route by Floyd to me. He seemed to be just drifting, not crisp at all. It didn't look like a post route, and he didn't square it off like an in route, which is what I suspect he was suppose to do, it just looked sloppy IMO.

The defender was able to cut under completely uncontested for that pic. PR shouldn't have made that throw, but I thought at the time that Floyd left him high and dry with a bad route. still do.

maybe someone else saw what I did and can add, or disagrees and can explain why i'm wrong. maybe i just saw it wrong?


Back to Reif - I definitely don't make Legedu inactive to make room for Buster, you're absolutely right there. We could use more Naanee, not less. I normally don't like "tweeners", but he's a rare athelete.
